He claimed a 3-3 draw against John Higgins to ensure he would not end the tournament without winning any points.
It had been a miserable few months in the Premier League for Davis with defeats in his first five matches, although he did salvage a bit of pride with this draw.
"If this had been the first week then I would've got off to a flyer but I was a bit unlucky as the way the draw came out I got John last," joked Davis.
"I haven't enjoyed this season one bit - it's been awful and I should've won here as well.
"But I'm looking forward to playing in the Championship League, which has been really popular online, to try and win my place back in next year's Premier League."
The Championship League, which is screened exclusively live on a number of betting websites, will be held between January to March 2009 with the winner gaining a spot in the 2009 Premier League.
Higgins had a good chance to become the first ever player to make a maximum 147 break under the 25-second shot clock rules in the fourth frame of the match.
However, after nine reds and nine blacks potted he lost position and could only pot one more red before the run ended.
Davs had won the opening two frames with breaks of 36 in each before scores of 46, 73 and 69 gave Higgins a 3-2 lead, although Davis claimed a point by winning the last frame 67-37.
